Carolyn Jean King

Our family will be planning a celebration of life or graveside service for Carolyn at a future date.

Carolyn was born July 8, 1938, in Indiana, Indianapolis, daughter of the late George E. and Lenora J. See Cox. She was a Graduate of Texas Woman’s University receiving a BA in Science and received her Master’s in Dance at UNC Greensboro. Bill and Carolyn owned King Music and Friendly Laundromat and she devoted over 20 years as Director of Hester’s Creative Schools.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. King was preceded in death by her husband, William Dean King. She is survived by her son, William (Buddy) King and his wife Amanda; daughter, Sarah King, and brother, Richard Cox.

There are no words to describe our gratitude for all who cared for our Mom and the guidance provided in our time of need. We are humbled by the care and compassion shown to us by all of you at Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro and the staff at The Guilford House.
