Carolyn June (Davis) Hicks

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel, 6000 West Gate City Blvd., Greensboro, NC 27407. The family will receive friends and loved ones, one hour prior to the service, from 1:00 until 2:00 pm.

Born June 18, 1935 in Haywood County, NC to the late Grover and Maggie Davis, June was of the Baptist faith. She taught special needs students for close to 25 years and was a member of The NC Association of Education (N.C.A.E). June enjoyed cooking, sewing, traveling and several years ago, she and her husband used to participate in Ballroom Dances. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 60 years, Howard Kit Hicks; sons, Randy Hicks (Lori) of Danbury, NC and Joe Hicks of Jamestown; sister, Betty Vestal of Winston-Salem; grandchildren, Isaac Levi Hicks, Eliza Jane Hicks and Ransom Jordan Hicks.
