Carole Carter Kellam Morrow, 84, of Greensboro, NC, passed away peacefully Thursday, August 11, 2023, with her husband, Jim, by her side at Manor Lake Assisted Living in Dawsonville, GA. She was born on July 31, 1939, one day after Jim’s sister was born and their mother’s shared a room at Wesley Long Hospital in Greensboro, NC. She was married to Jim for 62 years.
Carole graduated from Peace College in Raleigh, NC and made her career as a real estate agent in the footsteps of her mother. Carole and Jim lived in many cities across the country and also lived overseas during Jim’s 25 year career with the United States Air Force. She was an avid bridge player, an excellent cook, a great hostess and a friend to many. She also loved to entertain! But mostly, Carole loved her family.
She is preceded in death by her Mother, Verma Jeanette Hewitt Kellam, her Father, William Julius Kellam Sr., her brother William Julius Kellam Jr., and her son James William Morrow, III. She is survived by her husband James William Morrow, Jr., her daughter Ashley Morrow Moore (Neill) of Cumming, GA, grandsons, Cameron and Bryce Moore, and nephews Bo and Carlisle Kellam (Catherine).
A graveside service will be held Thursday, August 17, 2023 at 11:00AM at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3901 Forest Lawn Dr., Greensboro, NC 27455.
