Barbara Ann Fuller Clapp, 76, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2015 at Moses Cone Hospital. She was born on June 8, 1938 in High Point, NC, the daughter of James R. and Lucille Watkins Fuller. She worked in the cafeteria at McLeansville Middle School and then became the cafeteria manager at Eastern Guilford High School until her retirement. Barbara then went on to work at Stamey’s Barbecue on Battleground Avenue.
Barbara loved to work in her yard and always enjoyed time she could spent with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be deeply missed.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Matthew Clapp. Surviving are her son, Raymond Matthew Clapp and wife Sandra of Greensboro, NC; granddaughter, Kelsey Clapp of Greensboro, NC; sister, Joan Brewer and husband Bill of Wilmington, NC and brother-in-law, John Benjamin Clapp.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, 11:00 a.m. at Guilford Memorial Park with Dr. Lawrence Clapp officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel.
