Sue Thomas Baker of Greeneville, TN passed away Thursday evening at her home. She had just celebrated her 92nd birthday. She was a strong Christian woman who loved music, enjoyed watching birds, caring for pets her daughters often brought home, and being with family.
She was a member of Mt. Hebron Methodist Church-attending and serving as long as her health allowed. She worked 20 years as an LPN in ICCU at Laughlin Memorial Hospital.
She is survived by two daughters and their husbands: Freda and Archie Turbyfill and Cindy and Jim Walter.
She will be remembered by her warm, gentle smile and generous heart.
The family would like to thank special friends Mary Tweed, Lumie Crum, Carolyn Finchum and the staff at Smokey Mountain Home Health and Hospice for their comfort care.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 pm Sunday at GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. Friends are asked to meet at GreeneLawn at 2:45 pm on Sunday.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Appalachian Baptist Church, 370 Sanford Circle, Greeneville, TN 37743 for “Flood Victims.”
