Roger Dale Haire

He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law: Gavin and Stephanie Haire of Afton, with whom he shared a very close relationship; daughter: Jeannie Marie Johnson of Ohio; former wife and friend: Regina D. Miller of Chuckey; brother: Carson Landers of Greeneville; sister and brother-in-law: Darlene and L.C. Johnson of Afton; a brother and sister-in-law: William and Lisa Gunter of Afton; grandchildren: Gavin Lee, Austin James and Cameron Gage Haire, all of whom he loved spending time with daily; special uncle and friend Earnel Landers; and his beloved cat: Mojo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James C. Haire and Betty Lee Landers Gunter; stepfather, William C. Gunter; and one sister, Mary Ann Gunter.

He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. He had a very special relationship with his grandsons and enjoyed them to the fullest every day. Anyone that would visit his home knew immediately that his grandchildren were his world as they were always where he was.

He was a concrete finisher by trade but was also a mechanic and car salesman. His garage was never empty nor did he turn anyone away.

Visitation will be Wednesday, 1-3 and 5-7 p.m. with the service to follow. Rev. Jeremy Carver will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for help to defer funeral expenses.
