Phillip Larry Johnson

He was a project manager in the furniture industry. He was a member of Greenstreet Baptist Church in High Point, NC. He was a former member of Towering Oaks Baptist Church in Greeneville. He was a Christian man who loved his family dearly. He fought a courageous battle with cancer for 10 years.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years: Lori Johnson; three daughters: Megan (Michael) Harrington, Lauren (Aaron) Blackwelder, Brynna Johnson; a son: Alec Johnson; grandsons: Harrison Blackwelder and Jackson Blackwelder; parents: Larry and Phyllis Johnson; one brother: Travis (Courtney) Johnson;

Mother-in-law and father-in-law: Marsha and Bob Purgason; a brother-in-law: Brett Purgason; and nephews: Kurt Johnson, Rivers Johnson and Rollins Johnson.

He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents: Clifford and Lucille Johnson and maternal grandparents: Otis and Lola Gass.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday at Mosheim Central Cemetery with Dr. James K. Pierce III officiating.

There will be no formal visitation or chapel service.

Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at 1:45 pm Friday for the graveside service.
