Montie L. Parton Shepherd

She retired from National Business Forms and was a devoted housewife.

She was a member of Flag Branch Church of God.

She loved the outdoors, especially working in her yard.

Survivors include three sisters and brothers-in-law: Charlsie and Freddy Anderson, Jeanette and Randy Tweed, and Rita Parton and Harold Berry, all of Greeneville; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Ray and JoAnn Parton and Lyle and Doris Parton, all of Greeneville; sister-in-law: Wanda Norton of Greeneville; godson: Adam Collins; special friend: Lisa Collins; and several special nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

She was the daughter of the late Guy and Maggie Parton and was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Doyle Shepherd; two sisters, Sallie Kate Parton and Imogene Gregory; and one brother, Roy Dean Parton.

The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Willis Bowers, Rev. Jim Fillers, and Chaplain Lincoln Shelton officiating.

Interment will follow in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Kendall Parton, Aaron Tweed, William Parton, Michael Barham, Harold Berry, and Randy Anderson.

Honorary pallbearers are Adam Collins, Jason Parton, Eric Wilkerson, John Gregory, Smokey Mountain Home Health and Hospice, and Dr. Dharmen Patel and staff.
