Mary Catherine Brown

peacefully in her sleep on October 1, 2023 and was reunited with her husband of 71 years,

Robert Brown, Sr.

She worked for the Austin Co. until its closure and retired from the State of Tennessee after

working for Judge Ben Wexler.

She loved attending community functions, especially if singing was the main attraction.

She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be

greatly missed by all that knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert (Bob) Brown, Sr.; a son, Randy Brown;

her parents, Dana and Lula Renner; two sister and their spouses Dorthy and Buck Jones and

Marie and Walter Harmon; a brother, Glenn Renner and his wife, Gladys.

She leaves behind a son and his wife, Robert Brown, Jr. and Mitzi; a grandson and his wife,

Jason and Kristie Brown; a granddaughter and her husband, Leslie and Matt Sheridan; and

four great grandchildren: Eliza Brown and Gracie, Cameron and Jack Sheridan.

Per her wishes, she will be cremated and there will be no formal visitation.

All friends and family are asked to meet at River Hill Cemetery to say final goodbyes. The

service will begin at 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 7, 2023. The Rev. Doug Jennings will

officiate.
