She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Susong attended New Ebenezer Presbyterian Church.
She was a very loving mother, wife, Meemaw, sister, and friend to all who knew her. She cared for others more than herself and cooking for her family and friends was her passion and great joy. She was extremely generous to those in need and loved the Lord with all her heart.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law: Fox B. Susong Jr. and Carol of Greeneville; daughter and son-in-law: Dell and Wendell Wykle of Greeneville; granddaughter: Clair Rosalie Susong of Greeneville; two grandsons: Benson Susong Shipley and Stone McKeller Susong of Greeneville; sister: Marianne Johnston of Lake Park, Georgia; brother: R.L. Burrell of Canton, North Carolina; brothers-in-law: David Susong and friend, Beth Neas, and J.B. Johnson of Greeneville; special nieces: Vickie Johnson and Nancy Johnson; special nephews: David Johnson and wife, Carrie, and their children, Nathanael and Caleb, of Greeneville and Kevin Norwood and wife, Rebecca; several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles; special friend: Brenda Cobble; and her cat: Fancy Pants.
She was the daughter of the late Raymond and Madge Gosnell Burrell and was preceded in death by her husband: Fox Susong Sr.; special sister-in-law: Fredna Susong Johnson; and brother-in-law: Hank Johnston.
The family will receive friends from 2pm-4pm Friday at the funeral home.
Following visitation, the funeral service will be held at 4pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Dr. Ken Verran officiating.
Interment will follow in New Ebenezer Presbyterian Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Benson Susong-Shipley, Stone Susong, Kevin Norwood, David Johnson, Chad White, and Chris Edwards.
Kyle Horner will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
