She is survived by her two loving sons and daughters-in-law: Ronnie and Etta Hensley of Greeneville and David and Wanda Hensley of Tullahoma; three grandchildren: Matt and Teresa Hensley of Maryville, Rebekah “Becky” and Brian Harrison of Greeneville, and Scott and Bertha Mae Hensley of Chattanooga; one step-granddaughter: Sharon Hardin of Morristown; seven great grandchildren; two step-great grandchildren; two step great-great grandchildren; one sister: Betty Bible of Greeneville; and several nieces and nephews, including one special niece and spouse: Janice and Don Morelock of Greeneville.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 60 years: Fred Hensley; three sisters: Margaret Hensley, Geraldine Hensley, and Kathryn Humphreys; a brother: Fred Humphreys; and her parents: Lawrence and Beatrice Humphreys.
Lillie enjoyed her family, cooking, and working in her flowers. She and Fred were wonderful Christians, loving parents and grandparents. She worked at Magnavox until retirement. After retirement, she out-fished her husband and son and enjoyed life. She always had food to cook or to serve others.
She went to People’s Tabernacle Church as long as her health allowed.
The family extends a special appreciation to the loving staff of Durham-Hensley Health and Rehab for the care of Ms. Lillie.
The family will receive friends 4-6 p.m. Saturday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Brian Harrison officiating.
Interment will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Sunday to go in procession to the cemetery.
