She was a manager of loan services.
Karen was a member of Victory Church of God.
She was a special mother, daughter, grandmother and friend. She remained strong in her faith and always had a smile, even during her illness. Karen was an inspiration to all who knew her. She fought a courageous battle but God decided he needed another angel. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law: Shanna and Stephen Carlton of Greeneville and Niki and Sean Conner of Norfolk, Virginia; two granddaughters: Taylor and Kallie Carlton; two grandsons: Hunter and Cole Carlton; parents: Amos and Betty Franklin of Greeneville; very special friend and companion: Sam Greene of Greeneville; special cousins: Grady and Carol Norton; other special friends: Randy and Rhonda Cutshaw, Jim and Cindy Walter, Sharon Smith, Debbie Southerland, Joyce Hopson, Janie Stanley, Leslie and Joe Cutshall, Larry Cox, Tim Ward, Mike Ward, and an abundance of others; and her dog: Bella.
The family will receive friends 1pm-3pm and 5pm-7pm Sunday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
Following visitation, the funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, May 26, 2013, in Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel with Rev. Jim Fillers and Brother Joe Kilday officiating.
Interment will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10am Monday to go in procession to the committal service.
Pallbearers will be Tim Ward, Mike Ward, Randy Cutshaw, Stephen Carlton, Sean Conner, and Jeff Keller.
Honorary pallbearers will be Oscar Ward, J. D. Lowe, and the members of Victory Church of God and Towering Oaks Baptist Church.
The family wishes to express a special thanks to Saprina Fender, the staff of Summit Medical Group, the staff of 4th floor at Laughlin Memorial Hospital, and Dr. A. K. Sen and staff.
