He was retired from Austin Co. and Enka. He was a member of Christian Heritage Church of Greeneville. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was well known for his smile and his love for the Lord. He was also 101st Airborne Screaming Eagles of the Korean War.
He is survived by daughters: Yvonnda Davis of Warrensburg, Tammy Hensley and Leonard “Peanut” of Greeneville, Lois Ragon of Midway; a son and daughter-in-law: Rev. Johnny W. “Bo” and Denise Ragon of Mosheim; grandchildren: Melanie Ragon, David W. Hinkle, Temeka Jennings, Latashia Ragon, Emma Seaton, Jan Dean, June Carter, Joan Parker; numerous grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and numerous great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Lurrell Mary E. “Nanny” Weems Ragon; granddaughter: April Mochan Story: Great granddaughter: Naomi Grace Seaton; parents: Earl and Ada Ragon; sisters: Elouise Myers, Geraldine Ripley, Linda Rhea Voiles; and two infant brothers
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8pm at Bible’s Chapel Church.
The funeral services will follow the service at 8:00 pm at the church with Rev. Tim “Bo” Carson and Rev. Mark Laughlin officiating.
Graveside will be conducted 10:00 am Friday at Bible’s Chapel Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Darwin Lamb, David Smith, E. J. Davis, Dakota Trantham, Lance Dean, and Joe Parker.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: David Hinkle, Daniel Seaton, Hunter Seaton, Brandon Carter, Trent Dean, Alan Davis and the men of Christian Heritage Church.
