He retired from BASF after 28 years of service.
Mr. Rader was a member of Jackson Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years: Betty Rader; a granddaughter: Stephanie Grogan of Greeneville; one brother and sister-in-law: Fred and Alene Rader of Mosheim; a sister: Anna Sue Hale of Morristown; several nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law: Janie Solomon, Christine and Grandy Gray, Ethel Whittenburg, all of Greeneville, and Joe ad Eva Wall of Atlanta, Georgia; and his mother-in-law: Virgie Gray.
He was the son of the late Cecil and Ollie Clowers Rader and was preceded in death by two daughters: Debra Rader and Brenda Rader Grogan; two brothers: Willie and Robert Rader; and two sisters: Pauline Hale and Univ Taylor.
The family will receive friends from 4pm-7pm Thursday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
Following visitation, the funeral service will be held at 7:00pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jeff Blake and Rev. Gary Norton officiating.
Interment will be at 11:00 am Friday in Pine Grove Cemetery. The Greene County Honor Guard and the Tennessee National Guard will conduct a military graveside service. Family and friends are asked to meet at 10 am Friday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Seay, Reggie Jones, Gary Kirk, Dale Kirk, Hal Ottinger, Marvin Reeves, and Doug Renner.
Honorary pallbearers are the members of Jackson Chapel FWB Church and Dr. Charles Montgomery.
