He was a member of Horse Creek Mission Church.
Jackie wanted the world to know that he got saved and is in Heaven with Jesus, his Savior.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years and together for 39 years: Jeanine Tarlton; two daughters and a son-in-law: David and Misty Cox, and Teresa Tarlton, all of Chuckey; four grandchildren: Brittany and Trevor Cox, Jaevian and Kylee Blevins; three brothers and three sisters-in-law: Ray and Rebecca Tarlton of Greeneville; Joe and Cynthia Tarlton, Ronald Tarlton, both of Chuckey; five sisters and four brothers-in-law: Carolyn and Terry Johnson, Geralene Tarlton, Janice and Kevin Shelton, Marie and Kevin Starling, all of Chuckey, Faye and Frank Campbell of Afton; several nieces and nephews.
He was the son of the late Algie and Leola Lamb Tarlton and was preceded in death by a son,
Bronson Ricker; a grandson, Jackie Ricker; a brother, Harold Tarlton; two nephews, Cody Starling and Jason Coffie.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 4, 2012, at Horse Creek Mission Church.
Rev. Amos Penley, Rev. Mike Lamb, and Rev. Kenneth Bowens will officiate. Interment will follow at Liberty FWB Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Virgil Lee Dunbar, Jacques Coffie, Gary Reed, Don Graham, Travis Graham and Jody Tarlton.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The body will be taken to the church Wednesday where the family will receive friends 1:30 until 2:00 p.m. preceding the service.
