Faron Dale Young

It is with very heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Faron Dale Young of Johnson City, Tennessee. Faron passed away peacefully on December 2, 2024, after living a life of challenges brought on by chronic illness along with mental and physical disabilities. Despite these conditions, Faron lived life beautifully and to the fullest by bringing joy to those around him. Faron was a cherished member of our community, who brought love to all who had the pleasure of knowing and caring for him.

Born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on May 17th, 1964 to mother Helen Marie Law and father Melvin Monroe Young. Faron lived a life filled with tenderness, resilience, and a special spirit. He found happiness in his sensory items and listening to all types of music. Beloved for his infectious smile and uniqueness, Faron will be deeply missed by family members, care givers, and those in his community.

He was preceded in death by parents and is survived by his adopted mother, Phyllis Reed; a brother, Melvin Young; a step brother, Michael Reed; an aunt, Brenda Price; and a special caregiver, Treva Crawford.

A visitation will be held this Friday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home beginning at 10:00 am with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 am.

Interment will then be conducted at Buchanan Cemetery in Unicoi, TN at 2:30 pm.
