Edna Lois Shelton Miller Bowman

She was retired from Greene Valley Development Center after 27 years of loyal service.

Survivors include one son: Byron Eugene Bowman; two daughters and a son-in-law: Karen Annette Johnston, Linda Kaye and Roger Dale Cutshall; six grandchildren: Susan Cutshall, Christy Humphreys, Stefanie Hudson, Brian Hale, Jason Miller, Jennifer Hale; seven great grandchildren: Peyton Humphreys, Jason Hudson, Alexis Hudson, Mackenzie Miller, Savanah Miller, Connor Hale, and Aiden Miller; one sister and brother-in-law: Jeannette and Howard Setser; two special nieces: Brenda Shelton and Rita Broyles; special friends: Vickie Couture, Leslie Reilly, Tommy Hale, Kayla Jaynes, Ellen Taylor, Bobby Babb and Frank Hill.

She was the daughter of the late Everette and Zona Shelton and was preceded in death by a son, Jackie Miller; two brothers, Jancer “Jake” Shelton and William “Bill” Shelton; and a son-in-law, Jeff Johnston.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 5, 2012, in the Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel. Rev. Ray Fletcher will officiate.

Interment will follow at Shiloh Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Brian Hale, Dustin Reaves, Tommy Hale, Bobby Babb, Jason Hudson, Frank Hill and Roger Cutshall.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Philip Thwing and staff, the staff of Amedisys Hospice, and special caregivers, Melissa and Debbie.

The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
