Cora Emmaline Hoard

She was a Christian of the Baptist faith. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a friend to all. She loved gardening, flowers and cooking.

She is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Mike Hoard and Ronnie and Kathy Hoard of Greeneville; grandchildren, Tabatha (Steven) Franklin, Michael Jr. (Tracy) Hoard, Makayla Hoard and fiancé Nate Webb, (and his children,Tanner and Haivan), Terry Hoard, Megan Hoard and boyfriend, Jordan Lamons and Tashina Hoard and boyfriend Jesse Moorman; great grandchildren, Emmaline, Melayne, and Steven Jr. Franklin, Elijah Cobble, Abigail Webb and sisters Beulah Dodson of Rogersville and a sister-in-law, Helen Hoard of Morristown and several nieces and nephews. Special friends, Zan Walker, John and Grace Mysinger.

She was the widow of Leonard Hoard and daughter of the late Perry and Eula Renner Southerland. She was preceded in death by sisters and brothers-in-law, Hazel and Herbert Lowery and Eva and Ray Marshall; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ellis and Angeline Southerland; brother, Lucas Southerland and brother-in-law, James Dodson and daughter-in-law, Teresa Hoard.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 pm at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, at 2 pm in the chapel of Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Alden Marshall and the Rev. Todd Jennings officiating.

Interment will follow in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers are Jimmy Dodson, Larry Southerland, Steven Franklin, Lanny Hick, Jeremy Roberts, and Perry Southerland.

Honorary pallbearers are David Hoard, Charles Southerland, Ron Cropper, Allen Maples and Tommy Arnott.

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Franklin Woods 2nd floor nurses and staff and also to Ballad Hospice.
