Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of 53 years: Maxine; children and spouses: Jeffrey and Dawn Rader, Eddie and Stephanie Rader, and Chris Rader of Mosheim, Darlene and James Fillers of Chuckey and Cindy and Brent King of Smyrna, Tennessee; seven grandchildren and their spouses: Joshua Clark, Zachary and Shawna Clark of Kingsport, Chelsea and Derek Sams of Chuckey, Cassandra and K.C. Carroll of Baileyton, Isaiah and Natasha Rader of Afton, Bethany King and Baylie King of Smyrna; seven great grandchildren: Caydence and Luke Carroll, Preston and Emmaleigh Rader, Maddox, Kinsley, and Ryan Clark; sister: Carolyn Roberts of Greeneville; and several nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
He was the son of the late William and Marybelle Rader and was preceded in death by three brothers: Merite, Jack and Donald Rader; grandson: Noah Rader; and sister: Byrl Ann Rader.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Paul Ragon officiating.
Interment will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday in Andrew Johnson National Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Josh Clark, Zachary Clark, Derek Sams, Isaiah Rader, Randy Roberts, and K.C. Carroll.
Honorary pallbearers are Hobie Hughes, Dahl Myers, Brian Myers, and Bill Smelcer.
