He retired from TRW/Parker Hanifin.
Neal was a member of Mt. Hebron United Methodist Church.
He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy, having served during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife: Sue Baker: daughter and son-in-law: Debra and Mike Bolyard; two sons and a daughter-in-law: Steve and Debra Baker and Jimmy Baker, all of Greeneville; two step daughters and their husbands: Freda and Archie Turbyfill and Cindy and Jim Walter, all of Greeneville; grandchildren: Ashley and Ricky Landers, Matthew Bolyard, Hayley Baker, Christopher Bolyard, Austin Bolyard, and Joy and Ross Turner; four great grandchildren: Cody Landers, Makenzie Landers, Mason Turner, and Brystol Turner; and a special nephew: Ray Hargrove of Georgia.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy “Dot” Baker, two brothers, and one sister.
The family will receive friends from 6pm-8pm Saturday and 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm Sunday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 8:00 pm Sunday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Richard Long officiating.
Interment will be at 1:00pm Monday in Mt. Hebron Cemetery. The Greene County Honor Guard and the U. S. Navy Military Honors Team will conduct a military graveside service. Family and friends are asked to meet at 12 Noon Monday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Mike Bolyard, Austin Bolyard, Matthew Bolyard, Ricky Landers, Doug Rose, and Doug Ramsey.
Honorary pallbearers are Cody Landers and Paul Landers.
