He retired as an employee of Philips Consumer Electronics after 35 years of service.
He was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Keasling was a member of the Greeneville Moose Lodge.
He enjoyed reading, playing golf and watching sports.
Survivors include his wife: Judy Keasling; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Jakie and Phyllis Keasling of Mosheim and John and Bernice Keasling of Morristown; sister and brother-in-law: Brenda and Richard Dobbelaere of Midway; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Mary Zoe Franklin of Utah, Barbara Copley of Washington, Janice Copley of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, Fred and Inez Copley of Macon, Georgia, Don Copley and Teresa Renner of Greeneville, Lloyd and Diane Copley of Greeneville, and Ellis and Carol Copley of Columbia, Tennessee; several nieces and nephews; and his best friend: Kenneth DeWitt of Greeneville.
He was the son of the late Ruben Keasling and Katherine Keasling Knight and was preceded in death by two sisters: Martha Ann Keasling and Mary Ellen Keasling; sister-in-law: Rose Smelcer; and three brothers-in-law: David Copley, Bill Copley, and Freeman Franklin.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home preceding the funeral service at 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Rev. Lawrence Pack will officiate.
Interment will follow at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Bewley’s Chapel Cemetery. It is requested that family and friends meet at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home to go in procession to the committal service.
His pallbearers will be Tom Hopson, Ricky Shepherd, Jimmy Lane, Allen Schluep, Terry Whittenburg, and R.P. Whittenburg.
