She was a farmer and homemaker.
Mrs. Ramsey was a lifelong member of Meadow Creek Presbyterian Church.
She would always look for the good in everyone she came in touch with; always reminding us that it is a beautiful world we live in. A kind and loving lady who enjoyed the outdoors and her happiest times were when working on the farm with her husband, Ernie.
Survivors include a daughter: Linda L. Hensley of Greeneville; grandchildren: John Hensley, Andrew Hensley, Adara Hensley and Zackery Hensley; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Minnis Ramsey, R. B. and Sylvia Ramsey, all of Johnson City, Madge and Harvey Crain of Telford, Doris Ramsey of Limestone; several nieces and nephews including two special nieces whom she thought of as daughters: Rosetta Wells and husband, Hugh, Marcella Hafer and husband, David; several cousins; and many special friends, neighbors and church family.
She was the daughter of the late Lee and Gussie Yearwood Rupert and was preceded in death by her husband, Ernie Ramsey; a very special son-in-law, Larry Jack Hensley; six sisters, Annie Ottinger, Sibyl Renner, Margaret Rupert, Naomi Ramsey, Easter Collins and Florence Hensley; and one brother, Henry Rupert.
The family will receive friends 10 am until 2 pm Tuesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 2 pm Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jeff Neikirk and Rev. Jim Richter.
Interment will follow in Meadow Creek Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jay Birdwell, Jay Douglas Birdwell, George Birdwell, Jack Neas, Jackie Seaton, Darwyn Waddell, Glenn Renner, Johnny Powers, Lyle Foreman, Ivan Collins, Jr. and Elston Candileri.
Honorary Pallbearers are her friends and neighbors and her Meadow Creek Church family.
