Shirley Gibson

Born January 27, 1934 in Clementsville, KY the son of Welby Jack and Pearl Maud (Derringer) Gibson.

Shirley had worked at Allison Transmission in Indianapolis for over 27 years, retiring in 1990. He was a member of New Life Baptist Church and attended Cloverdale Christian Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Geraldine Gibson; children Danny and Karen; grandson Nathan Graves; three sisters and six brothers.

Shirley is survived by his children Ron (Vicki) Gibson, Cindy (Jim) Graves, and Jack (Sheila) Gibson; grandchildren Josh (Dominique) Gibson, Ryan (Jill) Graves, Nick (Stacy) Graves, Josie Gibson, Brittany (Thomas Pyle) Billings, Ethan (Lauren) Gibson, Dakota (Charles Manning) Gibson, and Rob (Cheryl) Gibson 16 great grandchildren and special friend Judy Goens

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, August 18, 2022 at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Forest Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until time of service at the funeral on Thursday.
