Hopkins - Rector Funeral Home
Ronald Lynn Vermillion, 81 of Cloverdale, passed away on Monday, March 20, 2023, at Terre Haute Regional Hospital.
Ronald was born in Greencastle on August 19, 1941, the son of Wendell Shaw Vermillion and Nettie Oval (Duncan) Pettit.
Mr. Vermillion was a member of Moose Lodge Post #1592 and American Legion Post #58. He worked as a Cement Mason for 30 years, He also worked as a Custodian with Indiana State Police Post #53 in Putnamville for 24 years until his retirement in 2021.
Survivors include his three children, Tammy Plummer, Mark Vermillion, and Kelsey Vermillion; a brother, Danny Vermillion, a sister, Debbie Burke, (husband-Steve); eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home with Indiana State Police Chaplin Dick Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until time of service on Wednesday.
