Dorothy Marie Snider

Born September 5, 1936 in Parke County the daughter of Hobert and Laura Viola (May) Martin. She was a graduate of Bridgeton High School.

Dorothy was a homemaker, she loved taking care of and being with her family. She had also worked at IBM in her earlier years. She was a member of Lena United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and Home Ec Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister Florence Alexander and brothers Alfred, Ralph, Jack E., Max, Merle, infants Kenneth and Leslie Martin.

Dorothy is survived by her husband of 67 years Bernard Snider; children Jeff (Robin) Snider and Anita (Gerry) Webb; grandchildren Hollie (Mike) Fowler, Hannah Mitchell, Tanner Snider & fiancée’ Keeliegh, and Ben Webb; great grandchildren Addison & Spencer Fowler, Enslie & Eli Mitchell, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Little Walnut Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on Monday, January 22nd at the funeral home.
