He was born 8/20/1942 to Alexander and Mary (Kreutzer) Roth in Denver, CO. He graduated in 1960 from Eaton High School. Bill served in the U.S. Army in 1961-1962. Bill then moved to Greeley and worked at Montfort packing plant. He married Phyllis A. (Cuba) Roth on Sept 25, 1965- April 16, 2005 and raised 4 children. In April 1974, he bought a small farm south east of Greeley and grew corn, hay, and vegetables. He sold vegetables at farmers markets for many years and also raised a heard of Registered Angus Cattle. He then married Deloris (Younger) Roth 3/5/2011.
Bill attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church, he was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was also involved in many groups in the farming community including Young Farmers, and the Angus Association.
Bill is survived by his wife Deloris (Younger) Roth; 4 children: Kellie Prevost, Lisa (Darrel) Loyd, Kevin Roth, Sharyl (Zac) Tschillard; 4 stepchildren: Melvin Babcock, Teresa Hoff, Renee (Ernest) Montez, Richard Babcock; 8 siblings: Robert Roth, North Carolina, Richard (Karren) Roth, Greeley, CO, Chuck (Terri) Roth, California, Alex Roth, Greeley, CO, Duane Roth, Greeley, CO, Barbara (David) McArthur, Washington, Janet (Bob) Winter, Ault, CO, and Carol (Philip) Magalee, Greeley, CO; as well as 10 grandchildren: 1 great-grandchild; 10 step grandchildren, 29 step great grandchildren, and 1 step great-great grandchild.. He is preceded in death by both parents, Alex and Mary (Kreutzer) Roth, Stepfather, Fred Bernhardt; wife Phyllis A. (Cuba) Roth, brother James Roth; sisters Joann Pettinger, and RoseMary Thomas.
Visitation will be held on July 12, 2021 at 4:00 pm, with Rosary to follow at 7 pm at Stoddard Funeral Home, 3205 W. 28th Street, Greeley, Colorado.
A Memorial service will be held at 11 am Tuesday July 13, 2021 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 2222 23rd Ave., Greeley, followed by a 12:30 pm. Graveside service at Linn Grove Cemetery, 1700 Cedar Ave., Greeley, CO with military honors. A reception will be following the Graveside service at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 501 49th Avenue, Greeley.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Bill’s name may be made to the Parkinson's Association of the Rockies.
