Nicholas (Nick) Isadore Feinstein, 22, of Greeley, Colorado, passed away unexpectedly on December 31, 2022. He was born on October 13, 2000, to Andrew (Andy) and Kerry (Harper) Feinstein in Henderson, Nevada. He became a big brother in 2004 when Rachel was born.
Nick and his family moved to Claremont, California when he was 7. The family moved when he was a teenager to San Jose, California where Nicholas spent three years at Leigh High School. Before his senior year, the family moved to Greeley, Colorado where Nick graduated in 2019 from Greeley Central High School. He played varsity soccer at both Leigh High School and Greeley Central. Nick went on to study enterprise technology integration at Penn State University where he was a senior.
Nick was a loving son, brother, and friend. He had a driven and adventurous spirit, and from a young age he demonstrated a deep curiosity and passion for life. Always the outdoorsman, he spent as much time as possible skiing, fishing, mountain climbing, and exploring. Nick was a talented, smart, thoughtful, funny, and deeply caring human being. He was a wonderful brother, son, friend, student, mentor, athlete, gamer, cat whisperer, condiment expert, and hot sauce sommelier. Nick had recently discovered a passion for photography, in addition to his other interests as an amateur movie critic, budding DJ, expert procrastinator, and sleep professional.
He is survived by parents Andy and Kerry, sister Rachel, paternal grandparents Sheldon and Elaine Feinstein, and maternal grandfather Dennis A. Harper.
He is preceded in death by his grandmother Susan P. Harper.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at the University of Northern Colorado, Campus Commons Performance Hall at 2 p.m. A reception will follow.
