Mary Jo Hall, 90, passed away on July 6, 2024 in Blair, Nebraska. She was born in Chardon, Rawlins County, Kansas on May 1, 1934, to Orvil L. Andrews and Charity Fay (Nelson). She grew up in Atwood, Kansas and attended the Colorado State College of Education, now the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colorado. She was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Gamma Alpha of Sigma Kappa and Red Hat Society.
Mary Jo married Jimmie Sharpe in Atwood on February 13, 1954, and entered an adventurous life as an Air Force wife traveling and living in many states and in Europe. They retired in Estes Park due to her love of the mountains and became business owners. Her passions were spending time with family, music, along with singing and directing church choirs. She also enjoyed needle work and crafting. She eventually married Donald Hall and moved to Sterling, Colorado.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, James Leroy; and sister, Rosalie. Mary Jo is survived by her sons, Douglas (Krista) and Kenneth (Paula); daughters, Pamela Jo and Beth Ann; 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert Duane, Gerald Rex and sister, Ulafay.
A Celebration of Life will be held at First United Methodist Church, 917 10th Avenue in Greeley, Colorado on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at 2:00 p.m., with viewing at 1:00 p.m.
Mary Jo will be remembered for her kindness, strength, generosity and love of family.
