Marilyn Joyce Towns of Greeley died Saturday, April 10, 2010 at Bonell Good Samaritan Center. She was born March 14, 1936 in Greeley to Harold and Thelma (Cooper) Springer.
She was reared and educated in Eaton, Colorado. In 1954 she graduated from Eaton High School. She married Francis Towns on November 18, 1971 in Loveland. Marilyn worked for the Greeley Gas Company and retired in 1994.
Marilyn attended Christ Community Church of Greeley. She loved to spend time with her family and friends. She enjoyed camping, going out for lunches, playing cards and dominos. She especially loved to cross stitch.
Survived by her husband Fran; sons Kevin Davisson (Tracey) of Broomfield, Greg Davisson (Kate Gordon) of Greeley; step-son Tim Towns (Loretta) of Oklahoma, step-daughter Tanya Hopper (Joe) of Greeley; sisters Ruth Kaiser (Virgil) and Esther Andolsek, both of Greeley; 11 grandchildren Megan Peterson, Corey Davisson, Ryan Davisson, Kelsey Gordon-Davisson, T. J. Towns, Josh Towns, Matthew Gray,
Jerrid Gray, Farris Hopper, Bryce Hopper and Brandy Carter.
Preceded in death by her step-son, Mark Towns.
A Celebration of Life service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday at Christ Community Church, 1301 15th Street, Greeley.
The family would like to thank the ladies at Bonell Good Samaritan Center for the loving care they provided to her.
