Louise Clark, daughter of Carolyn “Carrie” and Frank T. Walker, was born November 1, 1920 in rural Eaton, Colorado, and passed from this life December 18, 2018 at Life Care Center of Greeley, at the age of 98.
Margaret Louise Walker grew up and attended schools in the Gilcrest, Platteville area. She graduated from Gilcrest High School in 1938. She then attended business school in Denver, Colorado.
On February 24, 1944, Louise Walker and Paul D. Clark were united in marriage in Platteville. The Clarks farmed in the Gilcrest area until 1956, and Mead until 1959. It is then that they moved to Greeley where she worked for School District 6 in various school lunch rooms, then later became an aide, and finally the school secretary at East Memorial Elementary, retiring in the early 1980’s.
She spent time traveling with Paul after retirement, and also became active at the Greeley Christian Church, where they spent a lot of time doing volunteer work. Louise loved playing the piano and crocheting.
Louise is survived by her sons, Kenneth R. Clark, of Broadus, MT., Wayne L. Clark, and his wife Pamela of Ft. Collins, CO., and daughter in law Betty Clark of Greeley, CO. One sister in law, Dorothy Vollmar of Arvada, CO., 6 grandchildren, 15 great- grandchildren and 2 great, great- grandchildren.
Louise was preceded in death by her husband Paul, son Gary L., brother Melvin L. Walker, and daughter in law Linda L. Clark.
A graveside service will be at 2:45 p.m. Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
