Loren grew up in Greeley and farmed the majority of his life in Kersey. He was a 1958 graduate of Greeley High School. He proudly served in the U.S. Army in 1960-1962. He met and married the love of his life, Joan Kay Goodner in Greeley. Loren and Joan had one son, Dan, and one daughter, Doreen. Loren was a Dairy Farmer and also worked for Pepsi and Hewlett-Packard in his younger years.
Loren was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, grandpa, great-grandpa and uncle. He will be deeply missed by all who loved him. Loren went to be with his lovely wife on July 15th, which was their 61st Wedding Anniversary.
Loren is survived by his son, Dan (Sue) Gehring, daughter, Doreen (Gerald) Clarkson, grandchildren, Klint (Lyndsey) Gehring, Brandon Gehring, and Josh (Emily) Clarkson, great-grandchildren, Eliza Clarkson, Winona Clarkson and Hazel Lozier brother, Neal (Linda) Gehring, sister, Claretta (Fred) Coffey,
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Kay, his parents, Carl and Laura, sister, Darlene Folkers, brothers, Clinton and Kenneth Gehring.
A Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 23, 2023, from 5-7 pm, at Allnutt Funeral Service, Macy Chapel, 6521 W. 20th Street, Greeley. A Funeral Service will take place on Monday, July 24, 2023, at 11:00 am, at Allnutt Funeral Service, Macy Chapel. Burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens, at noon, reception at Allnutt Macy Chapel at 1:00 pm.
