Lisa Lavon Martinez

Lisa lived in Fort Morgan until 1979 when she moved to Greeley Colorado. Lisa worked for the City of Greeley for over 10 years. She worked for many of their departments; everything from Community outreach, to city recreation and the Rodarte center. Lisa loved her grandchildren more than anything else in this world. She was always willing to drive to see them, no matter the distance. Lisa would welcome anyone into her loving home for some good company and some even better food. She could turn any old dish into a new experience that many guests would ask for her recipes. She wanted to be sure that anyone who left her home was never short a full stomach. Her mother was her queen and she loved and cared for her. Lisa’s charity towards her community was a sense of pride and joy, knowing that she was helping in any way she could. Lisa was never alone, she always had the company of her five well trained Chihuahuas. She helped raise her God-daughter Arianna as if she was her own child. No one was closer to her than her daughter Sasha Martinez. Lisa will be greatly missed by her family, friends and community.

Lisa is survived by her Mother; Susan Abreo, Daughter Sasha Martinez, Sisters; Vickie Rizo, Raquel Celis, Kendra Rodriguez, god-daughter Arianna Rodriguez, Grandchildren; Carmen Martinez, Ezekiel Cortez and Isaiah Martinez.

Lisa is preceded in death by her grandparents Safey and Katie Abreo, Victor and Lulu Martinez, brother Jay Martinez and sister LoriLynn.
