Joleen Ann Held, 59, of Greeley, passed away Thursday, February 1, 2018 at TRU Hospice of Northern Colorado inpatient unit. She was born on January 9, 1959 in Greeley, Colorado to Harold and Betty Held.
Joleen was baptized and confirmed at First Congregational Church. She also sang in the choir at church. She graduated from Greeley Central High School in 1977, where she played in the band. She then received her Cosmetology degree and worked for a salon for three years, before having her own business out of her home. She did some actors hair in the movie “Centennial”. Joleen and her mother also worked in housekeeping, catering and election. She was a caregiver to her father, brother, niece and mother.
Joleen was a person who would be there for anyone in need. She loved her family and attending family functions. The Held’s had a family reunion every summer that Joleen helped organize and plan. It was always a great time.
Joleen is survived by her mother, Betty Held; niece, Nicole Held; uncle, Robert Rohn and wife Marianna and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She lost her father, Harold Held, brother, Dean Held, sister-in-law, Mary Held and many uncles and aunts.
Joleen was loved by many people. She will be missed.
Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 8, 2018 followed by funeral service at 11:00 a.m. both at First Congregational Church, 2101 16th Street, Greeley, Colorado. Interment Sunset Memorial Gardens.
