Jeanette attended Fort Morgan High School and UNC where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Nutritional Science. Jeanette married Carl R. Wood in 1974, at the West Greeley Baptist Church and they raised three children, a son, Andy, and two daughters, Barbara and Rebekah. Jeanette was a caring wife, mother and grandmother who believed in and loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The most important thing in her life was family and she was blessed with a very large "close-knit", and loving extended family. For many years she was employed as a bookkeeper and secretary for her father's business, Anderson Roofing. She also utilized her nutritional degree working in many kitchens and some day care facilities as well as doing in home day care as a registered provider. Over the years she attended and served in the nursery, kitchen, and taught Sunday School at West Greeley Baptist Church (now Living Grace Baptist) and the First Baptist Church of Greeley. Serving her community was of great importance to her, she was a Girl Scout Troop leader, taught food safety and canning, volunteered at La Leche League, was often helping at local schools, and as a traumatic brain injury survivor herself, she volunteered at the BIAC (Brain Injury Association of Colorado). In her spare time, she liked to read and play board games and video games. She was always cooking up delicious foods and teaching people about the importance of eating a healthy diet and eating whole foods. One more of her many skills was cake decorating and she would decorate cakes for weddings, baby showers and other special occasions. Jeanette enriched so many lives over the years, spreading love and educating those around her so they could improve their own lives.
She is survived by her loving husband, Carl, son, Andy Gene Wood, daughters, Barbara Elaine Yates (Wood) and Rebekah Kallin (Wood), grandchildren, Jasmine Christine Wood, Tristan J. Wood, Delvin M. Parker, Tod M. Willis, Evan A. Willis, Thomas R. Willis, Karrie M. Willis, Quintin A. Willis, Stephani L. Willis, Zaiden L. Long, Logan R. Yates, Nathaniel E. Hamilton, and Adam J. Kallin, brother, Forrest Lee Anderson and his spouse Diane, sister, Carol Elaine Greenwell (Anderson) and her spouse Jerry Greenwell and unofficially adopted brother Ron Herberholz and his spouse Nancy.
