Helen Vee Gnadt, 78, of Greeley passed away unexpectedly but peacefully in her sleep on July 2, 2018. She was born August 10, 1939 in Denver, CO to Chester and Mable Knight. She spent her life in Greeley, Colorado. Graduated from Greeley High in 1957. Attended 1 year of college for bookkeeping. She married her high school sweetheart, Stafford Omer Gnadt, on June 13, 1959. She then went to work as a bookkeeper for Robert Anderson, CPA. In June of 1960 she had her first child. She quit her job to stay home and raise her family.
She was involved in bowling leagues, camping, and her children’s activities such as music, dance, cub scouts, sports and other school and social events. In 1976 she went back to work, after purchasing The Corner Book Store on 16th Street in Greeley. Since then she has been involved in many business ventures, the last being property management. She loved her family very much and was blessed with the opportunity of raising her 12-year old great-grandson, Anden.
She is survived by her husband, Stafford Gnadt; sister, Grace (Roy) Smith; children, Ron Gnadt, Jerry (Jodi) Gnadt, Patti (Scott) Krautshun and Anden Burch; 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A public viewing will be held July 10th, 2018 from 5 to 7pm and services on July 11th, 2018 at 2pm at Stoddard Funeral Home, 3205 W. 28th Street, Greeley.
