Born in Ticonderoga, NY, he is the son of Roy Hansen and the late Anne (Bush) Huestis.
Gregg enlisted in the Army in 1989 as a Medic and was Honorably Discharged in 1993. During his time in the Army, he was stationed at multiple locations throughout the U.S. and ended his service in Germany. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon and Overseas Service Ribbon.
After his time in the military, he lived in Germany as a civilian but decided he wanted to further his career and become a Registered Nurse. He came back to the U.S. for schooling and ultimately graduated from North Country Community College in Saranac Lake, NY in 2001. A year later, he met his beautiful wife, Emily, and the following year, they married.
Gregg was an RN for 21 years and was always passionate about caring for people. His other passions include his faith, military, and motorcycles. His faith meant so much to him that he created Blessed to Be A Blessing ministry. His love for motorcycles started as a child and progressed over the years. Over the past 20 years, he has had 5 motorcycles. He attended multiple motorcycle rallies throughout the U.S. and made many friends along the way.
Surviving are his wife of 19 years; Father (Roy Hansen) and Step-mother (Fay Hansen), Brother (Branden Stokes), Brother (Bill Huestis) and his beloved dog, Brutus.
He was predeceased by his mother and step-father (Joe and Anne Huestis) and his grandmother (Marion Bush).
A Visitation will be from 9:00-10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 13, 2022 followed by a Celebration of Life at 10:00 a.m. both at the Northern Colorado Cowboy Church, 33131 US-85, Lucerne, Colorado 80646. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
