Frances Hope Lucero

Frances grew up in Fort Lupton and moved to Greeley in the early 1950s. On June 22, 1957, she married Gilbert S. Lucero in Greeley. He died October 16, 2007.

She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. In 1963, her family moved to Evans, living there since. She worked in food service at the University of Northern Colorado. She later worked at Monfort of Colorado in the meat boxing department. She retired in 1989.

Frances is survived by two daughters, Delores Lucero and Dorothy Lucero-Hernandez (Elias) all of Greeley; four sons, Gilbert Lucero, Jr. (Kae) of Dinosaur, Colorado, Mike Lucero and David Lucero both of Evans and Danny Lucero (Jennifer) of Greeley; two brothers, Nash Hernandez of Fort Lupton and Jessie Hernandez (Mary) of Commerce City; 21 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation 3:00-7:00 p.m. followed by Recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, October 13, 2013 both at Stoddard Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 14, 2013 at Our Lady Of Peace Catholic Church. Interment Sunset Memorial Gardens.
