Ethan was born August 30, 1964, in Upland, California, to Robert and Linda (Carter) Thompson. He grew up in Central California, graduating from Porterville High School in 1982.
Ethan proudly served in the U.S. Air Force. He was recognized as one of Aerospace Ground Equipment’s Outstanding Technicians.
After his divorce he came to Colorado in 1994 to help raise his sons Chancler James “C.J.” and Zachary Paul Thompson.
Ethan worked in some maintenance mechanic jobs before learning to do plumbing. He was a Journeyman Commercial Plumber for over 20 years, helping to build countless businesses and restaurants in Northern Colorado. Ethan was very knowledgeable and took great pride in his work. He taught and mentored many apprentices on their path to becoming a licensed plumber.
Ethan met the love of his life, Sheila (Mack) in December of 2011. They were married on June 22, 2013. Ethan and Sheila enjoyed camping, fishing and traveling, including a special trip to Aruba this past June.
He is survived by his wife Sheila and sons, C.J. and Zach, including two grandchildren. Ethan’s last gift in life was being an organ and tissue donor. Memorial donations can be made in Ethan’s name to Donor Alliance, 200 Spruce Street, Ste. 200, Denver, CO, 80230.
