Edith was born in Eads, Colorado on September 11, 1949 to Mary and Harold Mitchell. She went to college at Front Range Community College to learn newspaper editing, and she was the editor of the school’s newspaper. She later went on to work as a Peer Specialist at North Range Behavioral Health in Greeley.
Edith loved going to concerts and enjoyed reading and ceramics as hobbies. She especially loved her dog, Queen.
Edith is survived by her children: son James Allan (Samantha) Starr of Greeley; daughter Gidgett Marie (Gabriel Sena) Starr of Bartley, Nebraska; Her brothers Richard (Marta) Loewen; and Ed (Donna) Rober; sister Lois (David) Raehal, and sister-in-law Deb Mitchell. She is also survived by six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Edith was preceded in death by both of her parents, as well as her brothers, Harold and Robert Mitchell.
