David Rangel, 83, of Greeley, passed away Monday, December 6, 2021 at Grace Pointe. He was born March 29, 1938 in Gill, Colorado to Phillip and Marie Rangel. He was the second oldest children from a family of 12 children.
David was raised in Greeley, where he graduated from Greeley High School in 1957. He then graduated from Colorado State College in 1965 and attended DU Law School from 1965-1967. He worked for the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment.
David served in the United States Air Force from 1957-1961 and was stationed in Rabat Air Force Base in Morocco.
David enjoyed following the activities of his nieces and nephews throughout the years. He also enjoyed watching all types of sports, including football, gymnastics, basketball, wrestling and bull riding. David loved watching re-runs and old Westerns. He also enjoyed cooking holiday meals with Richard and Betty. David loved his dogs throughout the years, especially his dog, Allie.
David is survived by his brothers, Richard Rangel, Phillip Rangel and family; sister, Isabelle McCall and family; nephews, Don (Kristin), Michael, Mark (Paulette), Sarah, David and Richard; great-nephews and niece, Donny, Joshua, Bradley, Mikey, Jessica and Matthew and great-great-nieces, Makenzie and Lilah. He is also survived by his special dogs, Smokey and Molly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Phillip and Marie, sister, Eugenia, brothers, Frederick, Frank and Ralph Rangel, sister-in-law, Betty Kay Rangel and great-niece, Holly.
Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Monday, December 13, 2021 at Stoddard Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at Stoddard Funeral Home. Interment Sunset Memorial Gardens.
