Chuck Leroy Schnuerle, 74, of Greeley, passed away November 5, 2016 at his home. He was born May 29, 1942 in Franklin, Nebraska to Marvin James and Dorothy Lorene (Thieler) Schnuerle. He met Gail Gerrard at her dad’s restaurant and they were married in Las Vegas in 1981. They were blessed with 35 years of marriage.
Chuck was a successful business owner in Northern Colorado prior to settling down and owning Amoco (University Standard) in Greeley for 26 years. He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Loveland.
Chuck was a prankster and had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing with family. During the 60’s Chuck and his father raced stock cars. Chuck and Gail would spend their winters in Lake Havasu, Arizona and the summers in Saskatchewan, Canada.
Chuck is survived by his wife Gail; four daughters Jackie(Carle) Flamme, Charlinda (Greg) Folkers, Becky Weems and Kelly (Rico) Lopez; two sons David Carey and Jim Schnuerle; one sister Debbie (Calvin) Henry; one brother George (Kim) Schnuerle; one brother-in-law J.D. Fishel; 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Janet Fishel and a brother, and sister-in-law Marvin (Carolyn) Schnuerle.
Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 11, 2016 at Stoddard Funeral Home.
