Candelaria grew up in Waco, where her family farmed. She married Tomas Martin Ramos on June 19, 1930 in Waco. After their marriage, they lived in Waco. After her husband was discharged at the end of World War II, they moved to Plainview, Texas, where they farmed until 1963. They then moved to the Kersey area and came to Greeley in 1967. After the death of her husband, she moved to Westminster and in July 2017 she moved to Pueblo.
Candelaria’s passions include flower gardening and sewing blankets, dolls, dresses and quilts. She was a loving mother and homemaker. Her family was very important to her.
She is survived by her daughters, Janey Moya (Joe) of Evans, Bea Giron (Larry) of Pueblo West, Theresa Nanstie of Plainview, Judy Barrera (Abel) of Greeley and Ethel Fellers (Gary) of Ft. Worth, Texas; sons, Joe Ramos (Connie) of San Antonio, Texas, Inacio Ramos (Emma) of Greeley, Tony Ramos of California and Mingo Ramos of Denver and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and two sons, Pete Ramos and Luis Ramos.
Visitation will be from 12:00-1:30 p.m. Friday, February 2, 2018 followed by Recitation of the Rosary at 1:30 p.m. and a Liturgical service at 2:00 p.m. all at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 2222 23rd Avenue, Greeley, Colorado. Interment Sunset Memorial Gardens.
