June 8, 1983 - November 25, 2020
Amy was born June 8, 1983 in Kang won-do, South Korea. She arrived home on September 15, 1983 to her adoptive parents, Myles Edwards and Kathryn Jens, in Denver, Colorado. Amy was joined by a brother Joseph in 1985, also born in South Korea. Amy’s parents divorced in 1990. In 1996, Kathryn adopted Bryan and Lisa from Russia. Amy and Joseph travelled with her to Russia to enlarge the family.
Amy attended Cherry Creek Schools: Cottonwood Creek Elementary School, Campus Middle School and graduated from Cherry Creek High School in 2001. She loved dancing and photography and was on the high school girls golf team. She was active in the youth group at First Universalist Church and attended and became a counselor at Korean Heritage Camp. She attended University of North Colorado, graduating in 2005 in Criminal Justice with honors. She worked as a bartender and then manager of Bears Sports Bar and then at Westlake Wines and Spirits. She enjoyed success as a pool player and played on several leagues.
Amy traveled. In addition to Russia, she reached Mexico, Scandinavia, South Africa and back to South Korea as a teenager. She made many trips to Maine and Michigan.
She met her husband, Tyler Lane, at Bears and after a very long courtship, they married September 10, 2016. They lived in Greeley with their two longhaired chihuahuas, Kairi and Roper. They had many friends who were important parts of their lives. Tyler died October 31, 2019.
Amy passed away November 25, 2020 after several weeks in Pathways Hospice at McKee Hospital in Loveland, Colorado. She will be missed by her mother, her father and step-mother, Bev Edwards, her three siblings and the extended Jens and Edwards families. Amy was a Greeley legend, the ninja, the unbeatable pool player. She will be missed by her huge circle of friends, the many people she loved and helped and spent her time with. She will be missed by her significant friend and companion, Chris Lawrence.
