In 1970, Sam married Rosalie (Bueno) Medina. He enjoyed camping and fishing at Lake John and also loved canning pickles and salsa. He enjoyed fish fries with family. Sam served in the U.S. Army for two years. He worked for Schaffer Enterprises.
Sam is survived by wife, Rosalie; mother-in-law, Helen Bueno; son, Shane Medina and wife, Julie; puppy, Lola; grandchildren, Samuel, Greg, Isaac, Chantae, Angel, Timothy, Hannah and Ethan; great-grandchildren, Layla, Nivea, Gemarie and Geneva; brother, Bonnie Medina and wife, Viela; sisters, Helen and husband, Alfunso Lopez, Fanie Paiz, Carmen and husband, Ignacio Espinosa, Virginia and husband, Tony Espinosa, Florence Pluma and Phoebe Medina and special nephews, Bona Pluma and Rick Antuna.
He was preceded in death by parents, Fred and Adelina Medina, sons, Sammy and Timothy Medina, two brothers and two sisters.
A service will be at 11:00 a.m. Sunday, March 26, 2017 at Greeley Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1002 21st Avenue, Greeley.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with expenses.
