NOBERINI, DEANNE AMY HOLZER—beloved sister, aunt, and great-aunt—lost her courageous, 33-year-long fight for life on December 24, age 72. Our beautiful, glamorous Dee was born October 22, 1952, in Brooklyn to Charles Holzer (1910-1994) and Rose Last Holzer (1916-2015), a few minutes before the arrival of her twin sister, Susanne. Deanne lived her first 11 months in Crown Heights, then grew up in Little Neck, Queens. She attended PS 94, Louis Pasteur JHS 67, and Cardozo High School before heading to Monmouth College. Later she lived in Israel, Manhattan, New Jersey, Atlanta, Great Neck, and Sea Cliff, LI. Dee enjoyed a long and successful career in advertising and marketing, attracting major clients for her firms, before health challenges forced her retirement from her last position as Senior VP at Alloy Media & Marketing. After her original diagnosis decades ago, she became an active volunteer and fundraiser for breast cancer awareness, and until her final months remained optimistic about returning to her beloved Sea Cliff home and enjoying family and her many friends—some dating back more than six decades. She fought like a warrior until the end—valiantly and inspiringly—because she loved life, loved her family, and was truly a born survivor. She will be deeply missed and forever treasured. Deanne is survived by her devoted sister Susanne Holzer Miller and her niece and goddaughter Emily Miller (Ian) and newly arrived great-niece Rose; her older brother Harold (Edith); nieces Remy Kirsch (Adam) and Meg (Rhiana), plus great-nephews Charles Kirsch and Leo Holzer-Swartz. Memorial Service Thursday, December 26, at 2 PM at Riverside/Nassau North Chapel, 55 Station Plaza, Great Neck.
