He died young. He died tragically, in the midst of a once-in-a-century global pandemic. He was a husband and father to sons, a daughter, and grandchildren for whom he was the sweetest, most beautiful blessing. He was a wondrously good and gentle giant.
Timothy William Carter, 65, passed away on September 26, 2021. Tim was born and raised in Torrance, California. As a young man, Tim enjoyed scuba diving, sports, choir, and his bible. Tim and his wife, Tina, met in 1984. They were married in 1987. Tim made friends with everyone he met. No one was a stranger. He adored his family and was their rock. Tim will always be remembered as a man of his word; he could break no promise and tell no lie. He loved cooking, woodworking, and his family above all. He was the epitome of strength, honor, integrity and sacrifice.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wendell and Dorothy Carter, his grandmother Grace Nagel, grandfather Clarence (Bill) Nagel, grandmother Leah Carter, Grandfather Ivan Carter, and his parents-in-law Steve and Helen Rogers. Tim is survived by Katrina (Tina) Carter, his wife of 34 years, his children, Steven Carter and partner Whitney Bender, Malinda and husband Mike Hicks, Michael Carter and wife Yesenia, and grandchildren Jack, London, Caitlin, Mikey, Isabella, Miabella, Corbin, Reese, and Savannah. He is also survived by his sister Vicki Carter, brother Michael Carter and wife Debby, and sister Leslie Gonyea and husband Michael, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, aunts, uncles, and friends. Our lives will be forever changed by this loss.
