Terri Barnes Carlat

Terri Lynn Barnes Carlat, age 66, of Euless, Texas, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2024. Born on February 12, 1958, in Kansas to L. Darrel Barnes and June Marie Barnes, Terri grew up in Ponca City, Oklahoma.

Terri earned her bachelor's of arts degree from Central State University in Spanish and Journalism. At Oklahoma State University, Terri earned her Master’s Degree in Adult Education. Her career was in writing and editing textbooks, primarily for the military.

Terri was a devoted mother to her daughter, Dana Marie Carlat. She is preceded in death by her parents, June and L. Darrel Barnes.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Terri had a deep love for animals. As a youth, Terri entered in dog show competitions with her dachshunds. Terri was an avid reader, continually seeking to expand her knowledge of history and the world around her. Terri’s favorite genre of music was classic rock.

A loyal friend, Terri was known for her wit and vast knowledge. Her legacy of humor and devotion will live on in the hearts of those she touched.

A visitation for Terri will be held Saturday, November 2, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at J.E. Foust & Son Funeral Directors, 523 S MAIN ST, GRAPEVINE, TX 76051. A funeral will occur Saturday, November 2, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, 523 S MAIN ST, GRAPEVINE, TX 76051. A graveside will occur Saturday, November 2, 2024 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at Grapevine Cemetery, 908 Spring Creek Dr, Grapevine, TX 76051.
