Mario was born in San Antonio Texas on March 11, 1978 to Ruben and Marlene Rodriguez. He graduated from MacArthur High School in San Antonio in 1996. He played soccer at Texas Lutheran University and received his degree in chemistry in 2000. After graduation, he entered the wholesale plumbing industry, working for Ferguson, Kohler, Intellihot, and Helvex for over 20 years.
In his free time, he enjoyed golfing, fishing, cooking, and entertaining. He was often the life of the party, the first to show up, and the last to leave. Most of all, he enjoyed his life with his wife of 18 years and two beautiful daughters exploring the Texas coasts, rivers, and lakes.
His passion for sports was contagious to all around him, especially if you were a fan of the Texans, Astros, or Spurs. Recently, he found joy in volunteering work by coaching soccer and serving with Whites Chapel Mobile Market.
He is survived by his wife, Andrea Rodriguez; daughters, Ana and Sophia; siblings, Cristina Doty and Ruben Rodriguez Jr, parents, Marlene and Ruben Rodriguez, and 12 nieces and nephews.
A service to remember Mario will be on Tuesday February 27 at 10am at J.E. Foust and Son Funeral Home
