Margaret Leonard of Trophy Club, Texas passed away peacefully on May 14, 2019. Margaret was born to Arthur and Sarah Lacy in Richmond, Virginia on December 14, 1929. She grew up in the suburbs of Silver Spring, Maryland and graduated from Montgomery Blair High School.
Margaret attended the University of Richmond where she met Milton Leonard, her future husband. Margaret and Milton were married on February 3, 1951. They had two children – Milton (Terry) Leonard of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and Elizabeth (Liz) Mastropiero of Trophy Club, Texas. Her family includes three grandchildren – Brian Mastropiero of Keller,Texas, Kristen Stinelage of Dallas, Texas and Daniel Mastropiero of Decatur, Texas. Margaret also has three great grandchildren.
Margaret’s many interests included church, reading, sailing and later in life golf. She was a member the Richard Dobbs Spaight Chapter of the Daughter’s of the American Revolution. She was a Girl Scout leader, a member of the Women’s Club of Darien, Connecticut and a greeter in the Boca Raton, Florida Art Museum. Margaret was a member of Fellowship United Methodist Church in Trophy Club, Texas and prior to moving to Texas she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of New Bern , North Carolina for 18 years.
Margaret is survived by her husband of 68 years, her two children – Terry and Liz - sister Elizabeth Faxon of Carmichael, California, and 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be 10:30am, Saturday June 1, 2019 at the Fellowship United Methodist Church, 101 Trophy Club Dr., Trophy Club, TX 76262
