Horace H Smith

As a believer in Christ Jesus, Horace Hugh Smith peacefully went on to his eternal reward on February 6th, 2023, at the age of 87, while spending his last years at the Arbor Lakes Nursing Home in Fort Worth, Texas.

Horace was born on December 19, 1935, at Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas, and lived in Grapevine, Texas most of his life.

Horace was a loving son, brother & uncle. He was preceded in death by his mother Edith Oleta Smith & father Hugh Jefferson Smith. Horace is survived by his younger brother, Jerry Dean Smith Sr; niece, Cynthia K Algee & nephew, Jerry Dean Smith Jr.

Horace graduated Grapevine High School in 1955 and was a United States Army Veteran. He enjoyed catfishing & going on long walks.

A funeral service will occur Sunday, February 19, 2023, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, at 523 S Main St, Grapevine, TX 76051. A reception for Horace will be held Sunday, February 19, 2023, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at J.E. Foust & Son Funeral Directors, 523 S Main St, Grapevine, TX 76051. A graveside service will occur Sunday, February 19, 2023, from 4:30 PM to 5:00 PM, at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park.
